Cannes Film Festival 2016 – Opening Gala Fashion

The French Riviera is blistering hot and it’s not owing to the sun’s generous pour of sunshine but the attendees of the 69th Cannes International Film Festival 2016. Last evening the opening gala dinner of the annual event saw some dazzling beauties and stunning icons making their way on the most glamourous red carpet. This particular red carpet isn’t for the faint-hearted what with every flash of light and live cameras catching the gait and pose.  Then there are some who make each year’s red carpet presence look like a cake walk. Blake Lively swept away all the attention of the paparazzi and live camera coverage with not only her gala dinner rose gold gown by Atelier Versace but also at the press conference with the red-hot jumpsuit. Then our current favourite even from last fortnight’s MET Gala, Jessica Chastain spread some sunshine with her elegant soft yellow Armani Privé gown. But it was a surprise to see Anna Kendrick looking every inch a red carpet queen when she stole the attention in her yellow gown with a flowing train. Who could tell that Bella Hadid was debuting at the film festival ? The Cavalli Couture not only was the dress to look out for but her jewellery caught the eye of fashion lovers. Bella made it appear effortless while there was an army responsible for that look. Araya Hargate gliding in the pink blush couture gown by Ralph and Russo took Instagram by storm last evening as this was the only gown flooding our timeline next to Blake Lively. Naomi Watts and Eva Longoria did exactly as expected from veterans at Cannes, looking resplendant as always.
